Dr. Mary Swapna Metreenj is a General Practitioner with more than 8 years of experience. She completed her MBBS from College of Medical Science of Three Gorges University, China and further completed Post Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine from the prestigious Christian Medical College Vellore, India. She has experience working with the well-advanced team of Hamad Medical Corporation Qatar during internship, after which she moved to India and worked at reputed institutions including Caritas Hospital and St Mary’s Hospital. During the tenure, she worked under National Health Insurance Programme- RSBY initiated by Government of India.
Later, she moved to Qatar and joined Hamad Medical Corporation’s COVID19 workforce as a Medical Practitioner. During this period she got posted at different government hospitals in Qatar including Hazm Mebaireek General Hospital, The Cuban Hospital and Mesaieed Hospital. Dr. Mary is experienced in the management of acute medical and surgical emergencies, dealing with infectious diseases, critically ill patients, chronic diseases such as Diabetes and Hypertension, Asthma, COPD, Thyroid disorders, Trauma care and Resuscitation and antibiotic stewardship. She is also experienced in performing minor surgical procedures. Dr. Mary is fluent in English, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages.
