Is this an insurance plan?
No. WELLKINS Extra Cover is not an insurance product. It is a top-up membership that works alongside your existing insurance to cover the gaps your policy leaves behind.
How long is the membership valid?
Your membership is valid for 12 months from the date of activation. Upon renewal, your premium may be recalculated based on your utilisation during the year.
Is there an annual coverage limit?
Yes. Your annual coverage limit is QR 25,000, calculated against the standard price of services used, not the co-pay amount you actually pay.
Can I add family members?
Yes. Family members can be enrolled individually against their insurance card at QR 400 per person per year. Each member receives their own full membership benefits. If they do not have insurance, you can opt for WELLKINS Protect instead.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
The QR 400 annual premium is non-refundable. Upon sign-up, your fee is immediately allocated to the collective member resource pool. This is what enables us to offer you the best possible rates throughout the year.

Can I use the membership on the same day I sign up?
Yes. Your membership is activated immediately upon signing up. You can present your membership at the counter and access any covered service the very same day. No waiting period.
How long does sign-up take?
The entire process, briefing with your wellness counsellor, signing the agreement and activation, takes under 10 minutes.
How do I pay the QR 400 annual fee?
You can pay online when you complete the sign-up form, or in person at Wellkins Medical Centre. Both options are available for your convenience.
Do I need a doctor's referral to get a test?
No referral needed. You can access covered services directly without a mandatory doctor visit. A consultation is always available on request if you would like one.
Are all services at 10% co-pay?
Most services carry a 10% co-pay on the general tariff. Ultrasound and physiotherapy sessions carry a 25% co-pay. Services outside the plan such as health packages, vaccinations and pharmacy items are billed at standard rates.
What ID do I need to bring?
Please bring your Qatar ID (QID) for every visit. It serves as your official identity to access your membership benefits at the counter.
